Linnell Fay Esler passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by love, after a battle with glioblastoma.
Linnell was a true renaissance artist. Her talents spanned murals, upholstery, stained glass, photography, wood working, and portrait painting. She had an adventurous soul and a deep love of travel, always eager to explore new places and experiences.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, who also passed from glioblastoma nearly six years ago.
Linnell is survived by her children, Ben and Mark; her faithful cat, Lina; her parents, Bonnie and Roger; and her siblings, Lisa and Mitch, who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Linnell’s life will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 2-5 PM at Bunker Hills Event Center in Coon Rapids. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor her life. Her artwork will be displayed alongside music she loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Cancer Legal Care. This organization provided invaluable support to Linnell and her family during her husband’s illness, and contributions in her memory will help other families facing similar journeys.
Music was part of Linnell's creative process and she loved having bands at events. Her artwork will be on display with live music by Gypsy Mania at the celebration of life. Enjoy while browsing.
